After a summer that never was London designers look to brighten S/S 2013 whatever the weather.
Orange– the ubiquitous colour of 2012- returns, both nestling against pinks or contrasting with blues, in geometric prints both large – as at Roksanda Ilincic– & small- as at Peter Pilotto. Christopher Kane‘s fluo Frankenstein & Matthew Williamson‘s fluid & elegant prints continue the colour story for day & evening.
Inspired by postage stamps & banknotes, Mary Katrantzou showed some fabulous intricate prints in a more neutral colour palette.
& if the colour is all too much rest assured black & white also make an appearance for S/S 2013 in Peter Pilotto‘s print-on-print & on the skirts of Giles Deacon‘s animal-themed ballgowns.
